Meet Dr. Baasch

David A. Baasch, DDS

I love the challenges of finding a pathway to oral health for each unique patient in a way that is tailored to their specific needs. I walk with my patients down this path of dental health, encouraging and educating them along the way, until we both reach their desired goals. My profession has provided me an avenue to make a difference in the world. To me, dentistry is not just about teeth; it is about making people live healthier, happier, and longer lives.

Outside the Office

Dr. Baasch and his wife, Debra, moved to Wallingford immediately after he graduated from dental school in 1982. His life journey has taken him from his birthplace of Miami to Mexico City, California, and finally to the Washington, DC area before he and Debra chose to settle in Wallingford, Vermont. Dr. Baasch and Debra have raised three children, Douglas, Danielle, and Deanna, who are now each helping society in their own way. Douglas is currently attending dental school, Danielle is an ER nurse, and Deanna is a social worker.

The Baasch family has very strong musical interests that have enabled them to travel around the world, performing across Europe, Africa, South America, and China. They still perform together whenever their schedules permit. Debra has taught in the local public school district for over 20 years and is presently teaching at Mill River Union High School. Dr. Baasch’s primary personal interests are music, outdoor pursuits and the continued support of the Newstart Children's Home, which is located in Harare, Zimbabwe. The Baasch family has traveled to Zimbabwe many times, not only to provide dental care to the orphans and local residents, but also to build clinics, expand orphanage facilities, teach children, and generally support the efforts of Newstart.
